Kiama Corner Store

Kiama Corner Store is a coffee window and boutique grocer on the NSW South Coast. It’s equal parts neighbourhood staple and quiet little cult favourite - the kind of place where the barista already knows your order and where a coffee run turns into a browse through carefully sourced goods you won't find anywhere else nearby.

After four years running Stocked, owner Hannah was ready for a freshen up and a new brand with room to grow in that matched her experience as an owner. Kiama Corner Store carries that next chapter, still homely at heart, with a little more room to surprise and delight.

Kiama Corner Store's rebrand marked a shift from a well-loved local shop into a brand with real unique personality and room to grow. We set out to capture that mix of warmth and character, designing an identity that feels playful, considered, and unmistakably local, without ever trying too hard.

The visual direction draws on vintage signage and coastal nostalgia, with a hand-drawn wordmark, a bold euro-inspired colour palette, and a flexible suite of alt logos. These elements let the brand feel at home on packaging, merch, and signage alike. Candid, high-contrast photography grounds it all in real moments: baristas at work, baskets full of good finds, regulars gathered outside. Together, these elements create a brand that feels bold, characterful, and deeply of its place, a reflection of Hannah's taste and the community she's built around the counter.
